Do you love where you live and enjoy working with people?

The Peachland Visitor Centre is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team.

You will meet people from all over Canada and now that restrictions are lifted, we anticipate visitors from all around the world.

This year we have many new outdoor initiatives in place – referred to as roaming/pop-ups. These will include our local Sunday market, ongoing outdoor events, walking/trail tours, plus more fun activities.

Your role will be to help visitors with their questions about the community and surrounding area. This might include giving directions, giving suggestions on which wineries and hiking trails to visit, and more.
Other responsibilities include calling local businesses to check in, helping organize and restock brochures, sell gift shop items, and whatever else you may be interested in.

You might be a great fit if you:

* Enjoy working with the public.

* Love talking about local wineries, hiking trails, restaurants, attractions, and essentially bragging about how awesome the Okanagan Valley is!

* Are independent and take direction well.

* Computer skills are an asset, but not required.

Free online training is provided by Destination BC, where you will be Certified as a “SuperHost,” plus you will learn lots of wonderful things on the job.

We do ask for a commitment of 1 day per week. If you are available to work more hours, we would gladly schedule you for more.

Off Season Shift Hours – September to June:

Tuesday – Sunday

10am – 1pm or 1pm – 4pm

Summer Season Shift Hours – July 01st to August 31st:

7 days per week,

9am – 1pm or 1 pm – 5pm
